2014 seems to be my year for new projects:
A Brush with the Broads is taking shape and artists are already booking. If you are a Plein Air Painter and want to take part in the first 4 day Plein Air Festival in England go to http://www.abrushwiththebroads.co.uk
This is my idea of getting more artists together in an area with an artistic heritage that needs to be kept alive.
Sponsors already on board include Chroma Europe Ltd and Rosemary & Co Brushes, along with Clippesby Hall where the event is based and The Boathouse on Ormesby Broad where the final exhibition will be taking place.
The other project I am embarking on is to paint in East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens throughout the year ready for an exhibition in 2015.
I was there yesterday morning in freezing temperatures with the inquisitive chickens and Guinea Fowl, the sun trying, and failing to burn the cloud away. I feel honoured that I am able to go and roam at will when no one else is in the gardens it is really such a special place.
As well as my own work in the garden I am also running 3 two day painting experiences in April, July and October, a guided tour by Alan Gray will help you choose your subject, I will be demonstrating and assisting as much or as little as you need or want.
the choice of media is entirely yours.
