Back from France and Autumns here

A week in France painting was just what the doctor ordered, Domaine de Bussas is a wonderful place to stay in the foothills of the Cevenne Hills, it really is a little bit of Paradise.

We painted the Pont de Camisardes  with our feet in the water of L’Herault, sketched the old ladies St Jean du Gard who had had their hair done on Market day. Had Salad Nicoise in Uzes, mourned the loss of  many of the

galleries in St Guilhem le Desert. Swam each day in the pool and drank local wine too.

I have booked the whole Bussas chateau for next years painting holiday 7-14 September, have look at paintncanvasholidays.co.uk to download full details of this and all my other courses.

The pastel attached is a demo from one of the photo’s I took in St Andre de Valborgne a beautiful village just along the Gardon valley from L’Estrechure and Bussas.

Now it’s back in the gallery getting ready for the colours of the Norfolk Broads to change to autumnal and the fantastic light & colours of winter. My favourite painting time of the year in many ways.
